Safety for people and the environment are the top priority in the guidelines of the TALKE group. These guidelines are binding for all employees and, most importantly, entail a commitment from the senior management to safety.

Having a long history in the transportation and handling of chemicals, we have always perceived our own responsibility in matters of safety. Even dating back many years, TALKE’s safety training programme for hazardous goods was used not only for our own staff, but also for members of staff of several customers. Playing a pioneer role in the development of on-site logistics when building and operating the first such facility in 1990 brought TALKE into the philosophy of integrated sites in which a clear requirement was the implementation of the same safety standards as those applied by our customers. It is fair to say that there were differences in standards in the 1980’s but that integrated sites have brought these standards together.
